After checking out the new tropical tv website which is sayin’ alot right now folks i thought it was only right i catch up with one of the minds behind the site Luke, so we could delve into his mind and get lil’ background info on the man himself..  Hailing from London, UK but going worldwide this guy keeps it fresh with exclusive interviews with big stars like Asher Roth and Birdman..  Plus he gives me joke on twitter too so here goe’s…

FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH LUKEGK  TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I am a comedian, producer and writer. Because I’m funny and know my stuff I now present for RWD Magazine & MTV in the UK. I also do work for brands like Nike and Boxfresh, some nice projects coming up with them guys. Fashion is something I’m getting more involved in, I have a few clothing and jewellery collaborations coming up.

WHO OR WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
My biggest influences are guys like Larry David & Ricky Gervais. Great comedic writers and actors, who have gone from writing hugely successful TV shows to moving into film and being successful there. Also business wise, Richard Branson and Russell Simmons, they find gaps in markets and fill them and make great products wherever they go.

SO WHAT IS A REGULAR WORKING DAY LIKE IN LUKE’S WORLD?
Interview, filming, editting, meeting, meeting, filming, writing, writing, blogging, interviewing, meeting, editting, filming, writing, twitter, food, sleep, wank/sex….Basically.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER SO FAR?
Haven’t really had one to be honest, I’m usually not totally happy with anything I do, I’m a perfectionist and always strive for better. The general highlight though is being stopped in the street or hit up on the internet by people who love what I’m doing. Because knowing that they like the movement now, I can’t wait for their opinion in 6 months. That’s exciting.

WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON THE CURRENT STATE OF THE URBAN ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
Commercially it’s thriving in a vulnerable market. So that’s great. But TV is dieing, online is coming through and Grime is dead, everybody’s making bad pop records.
